Can I buy one of these Movistar SIMs at Madrid Airport?

We're arriving in Madrid in a couple of weeks. We're looking for SIMs for our family. Looks like these "prepaid" Movistar SIMs are a great deal. Anyone know if you can buy them at the airport? [more inside]

How can I reconcile my EU Digital Covid Certificate situation?

I have two EU covid vaccine certificates from two different countries. I will be traveling soon, and my country of residence has a travel app that (I think) may not let me scan them to generate a QR code for re-entry. I'm not sure if/how I can reconcile this easily. [more inside]

Quiet Beach Towns/Resorts on Southern Spanish Coast or Balearic Islands?

Future Mrs Bassooner (FMB) and I are getting married next spring and starting to plan a June 2022 European honeymoon (pandemic permitting, obviously). Our current rough plan is to spend 5 days in Paris, 5 days in Barcelona, and 3-4 days lying on a beach doing nothing. What beach should that be? [more inside]

Website: Helicopter videos of Spanish Coast (& Med) with map overlays?

Hi! About a year ago I ran across a website that had footage taken from a helicopter for the entire Spanish Coast (and most of the European-side of Mediterranean). Think of it as Google Street Maps for the coast but from a helicopter. Can't find it again! [more inside]

Barcelona restaurant recommendations

My wife and I are going to Barcelona in early March. We've got the sightseeing stuff well in hand, but would like some restaurant recommendations, especially for at least one higher-end place. I am sure we will get our fill of tapas, paella, and other typical Spanish/Catalonian stuff for tourists, so I want to know what are some of the better places in the city for fine dining. Doesn't have to be El Bulli level, but we do want at least one memorable dining experience. I am a VERY adventurous eater (my wife less so, but usually game to try things).

6 Days in Spain in April!

I've just booked a flight to Barcelona and after accounting for travel time, will have 6 full days in Spain. I'm trying to decide if I should fit in a couple days in Madrid and/or Valencia, or just stay in Barcelona the whole time (with perhaps a day trip or two thrown in). [more inside]

What's your favorite off the beaten track place in Spain?

Traveling to Spain in mid/late April 2020 for ~ten days. Plan is to fly into Barcelona and out of Madrid as it's surprisingly cheaper than the reverse and less dead time than circling back. Assume we're familiar with and planning on the main sights. What else shouldn't we miss? [more inside]

Neighborhood to stay in Valencia Spain

What part of the Valencia Spain would be good for us to rent an apartment for a week? Family of 4, 2 adults 2 teenage daughters. We like to be able to walk to markets, restaurants, etc. and enjoy the vibe of the city. We want to have a place with the ability to cook some of our own meals, do laundry, etc. This is probably something we'll book with airbnb, but if there are other options I'd be interested.

Brainstorming a long weekend in Spain

I live in Barcelona, and I'd like to travel for around 5 days over the Easter weekend, so I'm looking for ideas/tips. I'm considering going to Ronda, and would like input on different possibilities for how to spend my time around there; I'm also very open to alternative suggestions. [more inside]

Help me think about thinking about getting a house in Spain 1 location

Mr LB gets SAD. A recent holiday in the sun very much perked him up, so his wondering about getting a place to spend time at in winter seems to be something we need to look at. Don't worry about impending Brexit as this is a longer-term project so we can wait and see what happens. Must-haves and hopes below. Where do you suggest having a look at in Spain? [more inside]

Where can I get my hair cut in Barcelona?

Taking my first trip to Spain on Sunday and would like to get my short hair trimmed and/or styled during my brief holiday in Barcelona. Cis gal seeking cheap do (unless you know about a queer-friendly place that could make me look fabulous despite having almost nothing to work with). TBH I do not identify as queer yet but I would be delighted to look queer (I'm bi).

Well, I've never been to Spain...

Hi folks, heading out to Seville and the Cadiz areas of Spain in the next few weeks. First help me not dress like a doofus. Hints and tips on what folk are wearing so when I go my outfits don't scream "Merica!!" I'm normally an athletic skort and river shoe(Keens) wearer. Second, lists of places to see and places for yummy food are very welcome. [more inside]
