Love the suggestions, thank you so much, and please keep them coming. I need several hours worth of music. The trippy vibe feels spot on, but I'm open... posted by Dragonness at 11:35 AM on May 27, 2010
Goldfrapp's Supernature has some worthwhile material - particularly "Slide In", "Lovely 2 C U" and, of course, "Ooh La La". Though there a little higher tempo than Mezzanine (if you're using that as your baseline) so time it appropriately in the night.
older Depeche Mode works, particularly Violator and Ultra; and specifically "Useless", "Barrel of a Gun", "Personal Jesus", "Policy of Truth" (the Goldfrapp cover of "Halo" from the Remix collection is also worth seeking out)
Some Sigur Ros could work though most of it is too twee and precious for this mood. "Takk" is worth considering, as is possibly "Untitled 6" from () as it has a slow build and crescendo that can feel like arousal and climax in audio form.
Some tribal bellydance can work ... Niyaz ("Dilruba"), Beats Antique ("Roustabout", 'Beauty Beats") and Natacha Atlas ("Leysh N'atarak" and her covers of "Ne Me Quitte Pas" and "I Put A Spell On You") are contenders if you want to add a bit of middle eastern flavor to the soundtrack.
Also, depending on whether this is an actual participatory party as opposed to a private fetish-themed dance night, you might want some more unobtrusive, lyric-less background music. In this case, you'd be looking at some of the usual suspects in lounge/downtempo --Thievery Corp, Chillout compilations, etc. Just be sure to balance this mood and ensure that it's unobtrusive but bring the tempo down so far that your guests just wind up falling asleep. posted by bl1nk at 11:40 AM on May 27, 2010
bl1nk, brilliant, especially love the Middle Eastern touch. posted by Dragonness at 11:53 AM on May 27, 2010
Consider Morphine's "Cure for Pain" album.
Blonde Redhead's "Misery is a Butterfly" album, too.
Also, some of Garbage's darker-sounding stuff.
"Sin" by Nine Inch Nails.
"Trophy" by Bat For Lashes
Filter
Hooverphonic.
And I found this song recommended somewhere else on Metafilter, so now I will pay it forward: "Tear You Apart" by She Wants Revenge. posted by millipede at 12:26 PM on May 27, 2010
I can't believe someone beat me to the Brazilian Girls! Anyway, seconding that. A few more tracks that might be fun:
The Kills (not to be confused with The Killers) "U.R.A. Fever"
Depeche Mode "Judas." The Tricky cover of that is pretty good, too...maybe even better.
Faithless's "Reverence" album, also their best of, contain some great, great tracks. Try "If Lovin' You is Wrong." posted by deep thought sunstar at 1:05 PM on May 27, 2010
Lionel Richie - Dancing On the Ceiling. This always gets them going. Oh and "the look" by Roxette as well. posted by matt755811 at 1:34 PM on May 27, 2010

Baxter's first album, Baxter.
The Swedish electronica Baxter, not the post-hardcore Chicago Baxter, to be specific. posted by buzzkillington at 2:36 PM on May 27, 2010
Some great suggestions already. A few more to listen to off the top of my head:
Frankie - Relax
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
Pet Shop Boys - It's a Sin, Being Boring
Joan Jett - Fetish
Divynls - I Touch Myself, Sex Will Keep Us Together
Pulp - This is Hardcore
Enigma - Principles of Lust
Some of my suggestions may be a bit rock-y for your taste, though. posted by rodgerd at 1:53 AM on May 28, 2010
