Due to lots of family visiting in the past couple of months, I haven't had time to plan our Greece trip this summer. Now I am in panic mode. We fly to Athens on July 17th for three weeks with 3 kids in tow, 11, 9 and 6 yrs old. [more inside]

We're going to for five days in late May. We'll be driving around to see the big standard stuff – Knossus and Chania and Samaria Gorge. What we'd really like to do is to hit two or three snorkelling spots along the way and spend a few afternoons staring at fish! [more inside]

Looking for a specific kinds of Athens souvenir, which may or may not exist: ones based on "urban" icons like their taxi signs, and other infrastructure-y things like that. Most definitely not looking for keychains containing photos of the Parthenon or other such tat, they are already being thrown at me with abandon, thanks. [more inside]

We are going to Rhodes for a week in June. What should we do and see? We are enthusiastic ballroom and Latin dancers, so we would be especially delighted if we could find somewhere where we could engage in a bit of partner dancing. I'll be in Greece in September for work and it seems a shame not to take some vacation time while I'm there. Problem is most of the tourist guides seem to focus quite a bit on how great the various beaches are or how awesome the nightlife is, neither of which interest me when I'm traveling alone.
