Seeking short Fables / Parables about love, relationships, death and loss of friends.
Going through a bad breakup and a death of a best friend at the same time. I always loved reading Fables as a kid and find them comforting. So if you know of any pls post away.
Cheers!

I personally love, love, loved Hector and the Search for Happiness. There's other books in the series too, but they are very simple/easy to read, are fun stories, but pack a big parable punch.

Gods, I went through that 2 years ago. The combination was pretty devastating at the time. I wish you healing and peace.
I didn't find any fables that helped me deal with the death of one of my best and oldest friends, though I do think a lot about Rumi's poem Mouse and Frog.

Not a fable per se (sorry), but when I was in a similar situation I found great comfort in this poem.
Be patient with yourself. It takes time.

This is my favorite parable to think about when a loved one has passed on.
