When was the Dropkick Murphys final show with Mike McColgan as lead singer?

Can anyone help me dig up the date/location of the Dropkick Murphys final show with Mike McColgan as lead singer (and confirm/deny if I was there)? All the details I can recall follow...
A buddy and I went to go see The Dropkick Murphys play in Austin in the Spring of 1998. I'm 98% sure that the date was April 1. They were touring with The Business and the Lower Class Brats opened (LCB are an Austin band though, so that may have been a one-off). I don't remember any onstage drama during the DM's set, but a week or two later I remember reading in either a zine or an e-mail newsletter that after that show, McColgan decided to call it quits and return to Boston. IIRC, one of the guys from the Swingin' Utters finished up singing duties on the tour while wearing a Luchador mask.
The only other pertinent information I can think of is that the show was at a venue called The Atomic Lounge (again, best I can recall, this was thirteen years ago...) that was on Red River right around 8th or 9th St.
Googling has gotten me no actual date on the final show with the original lineup and this has been bugging me off and on for years. I've seen AskMe work some miracles. Can you do it again? Thanks.

Just emailed you some possibly helpful info.

Here is an interview where Mccolgan says he left DKM in April of 1998.
And here is a poster from a NOFX/DKM show at Liberty Lunch in Austin in Feb of 98. Doesn't mean they weren't back in Austin again in April.

Also, here is the archive for The Austin Chronicle from Friday March 27th. It doesn't list Dropkick Murphy's as playing in the week following (which would include April 1st.)

Heh. What a flashback. I actually went to that NOFX show also. In fact, I stole that *exact* poster off of, well, somewhere, in Austin that night and had it hanging in my dorm room for months after. But I can guarantee that Dropkick didn't play that night. No Use For A Name wound up as the opening act (which is corroborated by the Chron's archive for that week).
However that Chronicle link does inform me that The Business played that April 1 at The Atomic Cafe (hey, I was close) and I know for a fact that I saw DKM open for them. Getting close!
bassomatic has been kind enough to facebook message the former Lower Class Brats member that he knew. If he was in the band at the time, this *may* lead to some kind of conclusion here.
Thanks for your help, Apoch. I'd never have thought to check the Chronicle's archives from way back then.

Best answer: I'm sort of related to one of the Dropkick Murphys through marriage. This is this information I received from my connection. It looks like you were at the show!
"hey sorry it took a bit to get back to you. the answer is:
mikes last show was at the atomic cafe in austin tx. "
