help me find similar but affordable boots

i need these boots, i can't pay $600 for them.

as a woman with skinny legs and bigger feet (size 8, i realize that's pretty average, but the width of boot legs seem to get larger with foot size), it's nearly impossible for me to find boots that fit my feet and legs.

i love these stuart weitzman boots, but i simply cannot afford $595 boots. no luck on ebay.

so, seen any knockoffs?
any other suggestions for women with this predicament?

Previously and previously, someone suggested Duoboots. Wide selection, but perhaps not that much cheaper.

In one of the previous threads, someone suggested a shoemaker could take a pair of boots in at the calf. I personally have no idea, but it's probably worth a try.

How big are your calves, do you know? What part of the style of the Stuart Weitzman boots do you love -- is it the over-the-knee, the heel height, the half-stretch-back (which may hug your calves better), the equestrian look? Would you consider a stretch-leather boot? They tend to be good for looks that shape to the leg (less so for riding-style boots).

The SWs are a pretty popular style now, though. See below:

If the SWs fit you (not sure if you tried them on), here is a pair from DSW with similar calf circumference (14") for $60. They're not leather, though.

These Steven boots have a lower, more almond-shaped heel, but are also over-the-knee and with the elastic back. (They say they are a 15" circumference, but when I've tried on boots with this type of backing, I've always found it a tighter fit than they claim.) They're $100.

Oh! These Type Z boots are $100 and say they have a 13.5" circumference.

O, sorry, those last ones have a wierd printed pattern and are Size 5 only. But here's a few more:

Unisa Rosa for $100 (14.25" calf, suede & synthetic leather stretch back)

Paul Green for $400 (more expensive, but nappa leather & more of a motorcycle-style sole. 14")

Oh look, Michael Kors has a version for $200 (14.5") if you want a nice brand name & the quality assurance that (should) go with it

That should get you started. Hope this helps! I feel your pain in the opposite direction: I have enormous calves and have spent A LOT OF TIME online looking at boots. I was sure I'd seen this style before!

Not sure if you're looking for something very very similiar or just similiar.
Do you want leather like these? the same type of heel? zipper or pull-on?

here are some that I found but... they're different from the boots you posted. But all over-the-knee

these Kenneth Cole Boots (might be able to get these and others cheaper by looking on shoebuy/zappos, etc)
these Dolce Vita boots.
Victorias Secret

these

a lot listed here

Best answer: Whoops, one more:

Steve Madden for $105, with leather uppers and the narrowest calf yet: 13.5"

KogeLiz: How did I not know about shoes.com?! This is a very exciting addition to my online search repetoire.
