Is 64 the limit?

What are some realtime multiplayer games that allow for more than 64 players? They don't have to be FPS. What game has the most players pitted against each other?

Browser-based game NexusWar used to have hundreds of players logged on and playing at once. Unfortunately its now closed down, so maybe it doesn't count.

EVE Online also springs to mind, although I can't find any figures about how many of their 250k players are on line at once.

MAG for the PS3 should allow 256 simultaneous players.

Neverwinter Nights 2 can support up to 96 players on a server.

Garry's Mod for Half-Life 2 allows 128 players on a server.

I assume, by the way, that you aren't counting traditional MMOs like World of Warcraft, where the number per server goes into the thousands. There are many, many MMOs.

If you do have a PS3, there's an open beta for MAG going on right now, until the 11th. Just download from the Playstation Store.

The 11th? Damn I really got to get on this. Heard tell you can't get into the giant rounds until level 10.
