Depressing music for a depressing movie

The song at the very end of "Irréversible". What is it?

It sounds like a funeral march. From the IMDB site, it seems to be Symphony No 7 in A Major op. 92 by Beethoven, but I listened to bits of it and it seems too perky throughout -- allegros and whatnot. The Amazon entry for the sountrack lists "excerpts from Symphony No 7 In Major OP.82", but I had no luck being able to find anywhere online a sample of the sounds to verify.

I've never seen the movie, but based on your description, I'd guess that they used excerpts from the second movement of that symphony, the Allegretto.
