There's this song that was played on the radio and I need to know what it was. Yes, another one of those. (I do not have a vaguely remembered book from my childhood to ask about, unfortunately)
I heard it a few times a week on UK radio, probably BBC 6 Music, possibly Lauren Laverne's show. Maybe it was XFM.
It was definitely being played through September last year and certainly into the first week of October.
What does it sound like? Melodic, but noisy indie rock that could come form the early nineties. Think Sugar. In fact, my memory of the track is that it sounded exactly like "Gift" from File Under: Easy Listening. If you have the track it's the bit 25s to 50s, or the first 20s of the preview on the
Last.fm page.
So the music is American sounding, but the vocals could have been British. For some reason I think it's a band who haven't released much before. Lyrics - hmmm - something about "time"; "spend some time" maybe.
I have listened to a lot of music to try to find it with no success. Looking for suggestions to check on Spotify, or recommendations for other forums where I might have some success getting an answer.
Lastly, yes, I feel guilty that this question, answered or not, will be of no use to anyone but me...
