Muskeeter cartoon from the 80s?

Help me find this 3 Musketeers cartoon from the 80s with a ridiculously catchy theme song!
Oh boy, surely this will be my dumbest question yet. But its been driving me nuts for YEARS.
When I was a kid in the 80s, I loved this one cartoon that I rented over and over. It was of the 3 Musketeers or maybe, 4 Musketeers because I seem to remember D'Artagnan in it. I don’t remember anything about the cartoon itself other than vaguely that its about a theft of a necklace, but what I DO remember is the opening song. It started off with the lyrics "WAKE UP! it’s a lovely day! It’s a lovely day to chase the clouds away…." and they burst onto the screen riding horses and it was all so joyful and goofy and it comes into my head at the most random times and makes me crazy! I must find this cartoon… but I've searched everywhere with no luck. I've googled every combination of musketeers/cartoons/wake up song/etc I can think of. I've looked up every single musketeer movie/cartoon listed on imdb. Nothing!
Help! Someone must've seen this damn thing. And if you can point me to a youtube clip or something, I would especially love you.

Response by poster: Definitely not from 1992. I would have been 13 by then, and I remember watching this when I was much younger, like 6 or 7.
And no they were definitely men, not dogs!

Hanna-Barbera did a Three Musketeers Series in 1968 (re-run through the 80s no doubt):
Alas, I can't find the song on the website.

Response by poster: sigh... i dont think its either of those. It was a stand alone thing - not part of a series. Please keep trying!

Best answer: I googled ""WAKE UP! it’s a lovely day!" and the very first video link was this:
Michel Polnareff - "Wake up, it's a lovely day" from "Les 3 Mousquetaires" UK soundtrack

Response by poster: Ok, Eumachia L F's link was to the song... which led me to the French version... which eventually led me to the English version which was released in 1996....which was a re-issue of the one from 1981! Hooray! A 25 year mystery has been solved!
