Headed to Whistler for three days with wife and 2 kids ( 9 and 10 ) today. Looks like there are a ton of things to do. Anything particular lakes or hikes or activities we shouldn’t miss? Any tips for Whistler newbies? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

My family has booked a flight to Vancouver for August 3rd - 10th. We have never been and are looking for suggestions on where to stay and what to do. My kids are 8 and 10. A friend who lives there said with that time frame, he would spend half the time in the city and half the time in Whistler. This summer my husband and I want to fly into Vancouver to see friends and then drive around in some beautiful nature. We will have about ten days, in July. Can you recommend some specific towns or areas to see? I'm also considering maybe driving from Vancouver all the way to Calgary and leaving from there, so let me know what you think of that option. We (adults and 9 year old) are camping in Northern Washington state next week. The weather might not cooperate for our planned water activities and now I'm looking for backup plans. My teen daughter and I are doing a quick trip to Vancouver, BC at the end of March as part of spring break. I need advice on where to stay and whether or not we can get around on just public transportation. Difficulty level: She'll get her acceptance or rejection letter to UBC a few days before our trip, so I need to stay somewhere that makes it easy to get to UBC - OR let's us completely avoid campus and just do fun stuff elsewhere.
