My family has booked a flight to Vancouver for August 3rd - 10th. We have never been and are looking for suggestions on where to stay and what to do. My kids are 8 and 10. A friend who lives there said with that time frame, he would spend half the time in the city and half the time in Whistler. Looking for alternative suggestions with specific answers on neighborhoods and lodging options. We are open to hotels or Airbnb. [more inside]

I'm spending next week in Vancouver, including three days off work on my own. Great, but due to a knee injury I can't stand up, walk or cycle for extended periods. Any recommendations for getting around and keeping myself entertained in the city? [more inside]
This summer my husband and I want to fly into Vancouver to see friends and then drive around in some beautiful nature. We will have about ten days, in July. Can you recommend some specific towns or areas to see? I'm also considering maybe driving from Vancouver all the way to Calgary and leaving from there, so let me know what you think of that option. I'll be meeting a friend from the UK in Vancouver during the last week of December/first week of January. It's their first time to Canada, and I'm not overly familiar with Vancouver. Interests include music, kink, environment, pescatarian diet. They're extroverted and I'm not, so I'd appreciate offerings of unique things to do for NYE. [more inside]

We (adults and 9 year old) are camping in Northern Washington state next week. The weather might not cooperate for our planned water activities and now I'm looking for backup plans. Are there indoor or outdoor things of interest in this part of BC? It looks like Abbotsford or Chilliwack are less than an hour away.

Vancouver is incredible in the summer but we'd love suggestions for things to do with a 9 year old and a 1 year old. And also suggestions for things adults with such children in tow could enjoy.

Hi. I'm going to be in Vancouver for a few days next week and would like to find a nice small town to stay for a night in outside of the city. No more than 2 hours drive hopefully. Any recommendations for short hikes or other things we must do would be welcome. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

My teen daughter and I are doing a quick trip to Vancouver, BC at the end of March as part of spring break. I need advice on where to stay and whether or not we can get around on just public transportation. Difficulty level: She'll get her acceptance or rejection letter to UBC a few days before our trip, so I need to stay somewhere that makes it easy to get to UBC - OR let's us completely avoid campus and just do fun stuff elsewhere.
