Can anyone identify the music used in the introductory sequence of Marker's La Jetee? ( goog vid for reference, starts 30s in)

I've googled around and I thought I had the performing choir (something Russian I think) but I've had no luck on the composition or anything. Anybody in the know or recognize it?

Best answer: From a comment at IMDB (you need to be registered to see it):

The soundtrack was originally composed by Trevor Duncan (Born February 27, 1924 - Camberwell, London, England) and performed by Choirs of the Cathedral of St Alexandre Newski. "Music from Russian Liturgy of the Good Saturday" is the credited music source.
