Post-marathon sightseeing in Vienna

I'm spending the weekend in Vienna, running the marathon on Sunday. I've Monday free to look around the city - what would you recommend as a 'must see' for a weary, footsore sighteer?
I loved the Secession building. Been over 10 years since I was there (and I was only there for 3 days) but that and Schönbrunn Palace really stand out in my memory.

The Hundetertwasserhaus is really nifty. That was the one thing that stuck in my mind about Vienna. Also the Christmas markets and oodles of hot wine, but alas this is not christmas.

sorry I spelled that wrong: Hundertwasserhaus. Bit off the beaten path but worth a detour for me, at least.

I was there exactly a year ago. The Schonbrunn is a cattle car full of pushy, smelly tourists jammed shoulder to shoulder following a one-way path through roped off and plexiglass-barricaded rooms. The only way out is all the way through. God help you if you are claustrophobic, and good luck seeing anything you really want to see. The gardens are lovely, though the garden cafe isn't anything special.
Go see the Lippizaners instead.

Previously.
For performances at the Lipazzaner Hofreitschule, you should make reservations in advance. Tuesday to Saturday
from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. you can usually watch them in morning exercise, though.
