Seeking the name of this Ben Kingsley movie, based on a single scene.

The scene opens with a distressed young teenager who is obviously fleeing something or someone horrible, running inside a police station. The glass door of the station is locked (or chained?) behind her by one of the officers on duty. Kingsley shows up, clearly her pursuer, and claims to be the girl's father
The police seem to buy the Kingsley character's further explanation that, essentially, his daughter threw a massive temper tantrum over his too-strict parenting and that running away from him was part of this tantrum. They are on the brink of unlocking the glass door to hand the girl over, but one officer hesitates. He demands more answers from "the father" - what's his daughter's birthday? Where do they live? Etc.
"The father" answers the questions correctly, although with odd pauses. The less skeptical officer then begins unchaining the door again...and that's all I remember.
I think it must have been a preview? Or maybe a single clip, shown on tv, for some other reason. I've looked at IMdB in case a plot synopsis of a Kingsley movie (recent & upcoming) fit the scene. None did.

It's definitely NOT Sexy Beast, I have seen that movie about 500 times. (great movie, terrifying Kingsley's performance)

Best answer: Yes, Security.
Not a policy station but a mall at night.

Response by poster: So it seems I have an AI brain - confidently offering hallucinated "facts" when I don't have a clue!
Thanks very much for seeing beyond my made-up movie setup. I'll be streaming Security tonight (also Night Hunter looks right up my street).
To supermedusa, Ashwagandha and aspersioncast: you've probably already seen Transsiberian (2008), with Woody Harrelson and Emily Mortimer, and Ben Kingsley as the chillingly smooth psycho? I thought it was fantastic too (if not quite as stunning as Sexy Beast, pretty near.).

The other one that jumped to mind is Sexy Beast. I can't remember such a scene but Kingsley def. does his share of clever lying in that one.
