My female friend has alopecia and is hoping to talk with other people who have gotten through it. Can you recommend any online forums for her? Thank you.

Not a forum, but @belgianwaffling on Twitter is a British writer with alopecia, and she’s very entertaining — she just wrote a thing for the Guardian on exploring the fashion for grey hair by changing wigs: here.

Rachel Fleit is a very cool person to follow on Instagram and Twitter who writes about her alopecia often (@rachelfleit).

I like smartpatients.com for the kind of cancer I have, and it looks like they do have an alopecia community (assuming it's the same as alopecia areata).
