Looking for an ADHD Coach/Psychologist in New York

I need help finding someone to help me with ADHD issues in New York City. Specifics (Sodium Acetate Crystalline Structure Details) below.

I have a psychiatrist who I see for medication and I asked him for a referral. He gave me a reference for someone who does talk and psychoanalytic stuff, who does not list ADHD as one of her focus areas on her website. This is not what I am looking for. So, I am turning to you, oh hive mind for help. He asked me to give her a try, but for the reasons below, I kind of don't have that luxury to try out a couple of different people.

When I first moved here I saw a rather good one, but I kind of dropped out of contact (no unpaid bills, but I just never scheduled a follow up one week) with him and feel a little uncomfortable recontacting him now (if this is ok, if things would be ok, please let me know).

I am specifically looking for someone who can help with issues of scheduling and timing, as I am on complete probation at work in terms of lateness. They have pushed back my starting time and part of what I told my boss when when asked what I would do to prevent this in the future was that I would find someone to help me out with this.

Throwaway email: helpmefindanyshrink@gmail.com (Yes, I see the double meaning there, but I did not when I first created the address.)

(The last CBT shrink post I saw was over a year ago and I can't find anyone talking about a ADHD coach.)

If you can't tell from all of this, I am pretty freaked out. However, I am not looking for advice about how to be on time, (hell, I can probably write some good advice about this), I am looking for someone to help me create a system to maintain good habits.

If you had a good experience with a doctor that you liked, I'd definitely reconnect. It's not at all unusual for someone to fade away and then come back and you won't be judged!

Finding someone you feel safe with and enjoy working with is so important. So if you had a therapist you liked, by ALL means, call and make an appointment.

You can even say, "I'm embarrassed about fading away like that, but I'm ready to start back up again."

Yeah, definitely don't feel weird about going to the one you liked before. They have that happen all the time. Good luck!

It would absolutely be okay for you to reach out to your previous doctor!
