Where should I publicize my weird-ass music?

I'm out of work and waiting for the next financial aid check. Money is tight. There are a couple of albums worth of industrial noise music I've made sitting around on my hard drive; I figure I might as well release it with a pay-as-you-like model, because what do I have to lose?

The problem lies with my complete lack of advertising capital and the niche appeal of my music. This is loud, dark, unfriendly stuff. Perhaps there are blogs out there that specialize in such things, and will help me get the word out? Tell me of any you know about. Other ideas are welcome.

Best answer: When I released my industrial/noise free-to-download music (although with a physical CD for sale), I got press and/or reviews from:

Regen Magazine
ChainDLK
Connexion Bizarre
Side-Line
Wounds of The Earth
Reflections of Darkness
Grace concerns
Machinist Music
Gothtronic

The Side-Line forums were also pretty good for getting the word out.

(That should be Grave Concerns, not Grace Concerns.)

Get an account at suncloud.com, make friends, find music with qualities similar to yours. Option to sell tracks is built in.

Do you post on the Troniks/Chondritic Sound forum? It's a community of noise nerds & fringe weirdos of all sorts & it's a great place to start getting in touch with like minded folk (though you'll probably have to sift through the weekly arguments about swastika imagery/shock art): Noise Fanatics

I do 'noise' stuff too & I'm in the same boat living off loan checks...In my experience it's sort of hard to get much of a reaction from digital releases, but there are definitely ways it can be done (see: Bull of Heaven). The easiest way I can think of would be to set up a free blog somewhere & post links for people to download your albums (there are a number of free hosting sites like mediafire & megaupload to choose from where you can upload tracks/compressed albums). You could even set up a paypal button for people to make optional donations if you were trying to make a few bucks, but again this might be kinda hard to pull off. Tapes & CD-Rs are reasonably cheap to put together & can actually go quite a long ways.
