Is my laptop insurable for travel?

How can I insure my laptop for travel, when my circumstances are very tricky.

I have a macbook pro 13" unibody that I bought in England for £800 5 months ago. I am leaving for India in less than 24 hours and will be there for a month. I am a New Zealand citizen currently resident in Bulgaria, I have Bulgarian residency so I am an EU resident also. I managed to find travel insurance for my circumstances but it doesn't seem possible to insure my laptop through anyone.

I presume it's actually not possible, but hoping there may be one insurer out there foolhardy enough to take this sort of thing on.

I had my laptop stolen while I was visiting Hawaii last year, and I was able to get it covered through my homeowner's insurance policy (which is through a company you wouldn't be able to use or I'd give you the info). Do you have a renter's or homeowners' policy? I am sure you can get this product insured, but the question is can you do it in less than 24 hours.

I insured my laptop, specifically, through my bank - worldwide 365-day travel insurance. Does your bank offer insurance?
