Where to donate a muppet?

Where to donate VHS tapes.
I work for a great non-profit that produces award winning children's educational programming. I just found a box full of older episodes. The problem is they aren't packaged and they are VHS.
Where in the NYC metro area could i donate these?
Apparently Salvation Army and Goodwill have said no in the past because they are VHS and they always throw them out.
I don't have a problem shipping them out else where. I think it's a waste to throw them away.
Thanks!

When I plunged into the DVD-only lifestyle, I donated my VHS tapes to a smaller Salvation/Goodwill-type organisation.
Check with your local SPCA, too - they have thrift shops and are under-thought of when it comes to donating stuff.

Were they broadcast? Would the Paley Center want them perhaps? (Formerly The Museum of Television & Radio.)

My local library is still taking donations of VHS tapes. They have a large circulating collection but anything new they buy is DVD. Check to see if your local libraries might want them.

You could send them to my school if you don't mind shipping. I work at a high poverty 85% school in the Southside of Chicago. Email is in the profile.

I would strongly suggest calling your local library and asking if they accept donations. They almost always need media of all kinds!
