Looking for martial arts school in the New Orleans area

Can anyone recommend a martial arts school in the metro New Orleans area? Jefferson Parish is preferable, but Orleans is OK.

I am looking to start learning a martial art to get some exercise, while having fun and learning something new. I used to be quite active, but have gotten way too sedentary and out of shape and the thought of going back to a gym workout or running is just not appealing.

I am leaning toward either taekwando or karate, but have not definitely limited myself to those, and would welcome recommendations on other forms. I'm looking for a good school, not a McDojo-type place, that would welcome a 40 year old adult beginner.

Any suggestions?
