Finding a mystery MySpace song

Help me find this song from MySpace.

Inspired by the lost song post on the Blue...

I listened to (and ripped this song off of) MySpace in the early aughts (probably around 2006, definitely before 2009). I don't know that this artist ever released music outside of MySpace. Here is what I remember:
  • I think it was called Porcelain Girl
  • It was by a small artist - possibly local to Chicago
  • I think the artist's name might have been Tess
  • Song was sparse and focused on the single vocalist. The voice was pretty high. Reminded me of CocoRosie or some Tori Amos
  • There was a piano riff in the background - high on the keyboard. Working on reproducing the riff I remember. I don't remember other instruments, but there could have been a guitar.
  • The lyrics included:
    • porcelain girl in your porcelain world / come shattering down all around you
    • glass girl in her glass world / come shattering down all around
    • if they promised to you what they promised to me, they're in for [???]
    • but these bones of mine [hold true because of me?] and you broke them anyway / broke me anyway
This sort of feels like something I might never be able to find, but figured I'd try! Maybe I will find my iPod nano with the mp3 someday.

That all sounds so much like the platonic ideal of a MySpace artist/track that I can’t tell if I totally followed the same person or it’s now planted in my brain as a false memory. Sadly I don’ think there’s really any way to track it down without finding that iPod since googling the lyrics doesn’t turn up anything, but it sounded so familiar I did give it a shot.

I wonder if asking around a Chicago-specific online community might be fruitful? Maybe a subreddit or forum?
