Lost in the Distant Sands of Memory

Asking for a friend, who is mightily impressed with AskMe's music-identifying ability: What is this song?
What is this song? I haven't heard it in decades. It's a bit of psychedelia, late 60s or possibly early 70s, probably US but possibly Canadian, vaguely Indian sitar music influenced, but not heavily; I remember a bit of tune and a bit of lyric. It throws around time signatures a bit; the rhythm on the first two lines are: "/1-2-3/1-2-3/1-2-3/1-2-3/1-2/" Then it changes. A lyric snippet I remember with at least a _little_ confidence: "I would a-something a-something-a-something-some-thing/If you would give me a fine(?) piece of your salt/And the crowd/Would be at ease/You'll never sneeze!/You'll never sneeeeeeeeeeeze" and then more vaguely-India-inflenced psychedelia with aaaaahs. The singer is male.

This is probably obvious, but what immediately came to mind for me is one of The Beatles's sitar tracks. Your lyrics don't ring a bell for me, but maybe one of these will click, or at least might match that style:
Tomorrow Never Knows
The Inner Light
Love You To
Within You Without You

Best answer: It believe xqwzts is correct. You can listen to Oliver's The Arrangement here (it's under Audio Files, cftp-2003-03-14-c.wav -- last song)

Best answer: It is absolutely "The Arrangement", available to download and be tripped out by here. Be sure to note the password -- it took me a little while to extract the file because I didn't see the password at first.
Prepare to be amused by some misheard lyrics.

Response by poster: Wow. I'm waiting for confirmation from my friend, but I certainly can't imagine that there are two songs with the lyrics "You'll never sneeze!" and the same rhythmic pattern. AskMe for the win.

Response by poster: So my friend says:
subj: jesus they're good
HOW DO THEY DO THIS?
damn. 1969 B-side what the _fuck_.
You want a copy? It's ... very much of its era.
So! There you have it! Nice work, Metafilter. Another case closed.

The timing fits [1969] and so does the style. But I can't find any more details on it to see if this really is it.
