What's he singing?

Anyone know what language this slick kid is singing in?

It’s a mixture of English and...what? I’m pretty sure it’s not Tagalog or Chinese. Thai? Bahasa? Korean? Bonus points for a translation.

Definitely Vietnamese. My wife (who's from Saigon) was cracking up over it, because the kid's singing like "I'm number one, I'm sexy, I'm hot, all the chicks dig me" kind of stuff.

She also thinks she's seen it before, on one of the very many "Paris By Night" DVDs. The variety/vaudeville tradition is alive and well in the US ex-pat Vietnamese community.

Thanks, AmbroseChapel. I never would've guessed Vietnamese. The kid's got a future. At least until he turns 13.
