My Google-fu has failed me: the first time I heard the Eels song "Climbing To The Moon," it was over the end credits of a film. What was the film?

The relevant wikipedia page is drawing a blank too.

Response by poster: Yup. I know I didn't imagine this, though. It's a film I saw in the theater, sometime within the last 7 or 8 years.

IMDB has 73 items listed for Eels tracks, but none for the track you name, mostly TV but some movies. If you haven't already it might be worth going through to see if anything rings a bell.

Did you ever see Levity? It's a little older than that, but Mark Everett scored the film, so you might have thought it was "Climbing" just because you'd been steeping in Eeliness.

Best answer: Just a longshot but there was an episode of Nova (PBS) that featured a guy from The Eels. I can't find a list of songs the featured on the show but perhaps that's where you heard it?

Response by poster: I did see that episode, so it is definitely possible. It might be my best bet so far since I just can't imagine it would have been on a film without some sort of reference showing up!

Best answer: FYI, there is a transcript available for that episode and if you search for "singing" it will show all the lyrics sung in the episode, none of which match up to the song you're asking about.

It's possible the lyrics in the transcript are sung by Mark Everett during the episode but other recordings were used for the soundtrack, I don't really remember.
