What is this song I heard on the radio

Name this song! It was on 9.07 WFUV in NYC at 2pm a few Sunday's back during a Gaelic music show. Pretty sure it's in Gaelic. But I can't find the playlists for that show on WFUV. It is funky .

Response by poster: Oh depending your browser you can turn the Vine audio on in the top left corner of the moving image by clickin' on the Speaker. Audio is there.

I actually can hear audio, but it is VERY very quiet.

Do you know what the name of the show itself was? There are a couple that would have the playlists on their own sites.

The Gaelic show that I am aware of is Thistle and Shamrock. Their website shows that they broadcast on WFUV. I've linked to their playlist archive above.

Response by poster: Do not know :C

Response by poster: It could have been Thistle and Shamrock, but this playlist page is missing November 2nd, which is when I heard it.

Oh, here's the page from WFUV showing all their Celtic shows. This may help you narrow it down by time.

Okay, hang on. If it was on Sunday, the show you heard was most likely "Ceol na nGael," according to the WFUV schedule. They have a Facebook page, where you may be able to ask a question.

And it looks like Thistle and Shamrock is on Saturdays, not Sundays, so that also explains why you didn't see the playlist for November 2nd.

Ooh, there's also a contact form on the WFUV site where you can email Ceol na nGael directly. From your vine, it looks like the song was on at a little after 2 pm, so that can help them nail it down if you do reach out to them directly or ask in the facebook.

Response by poster: Yup looks like it was this episode of Ceol na nGael. I guess I could ask on their Facebook unless someone speaks Gaelic and shows up ready to drop the dope knowledge on me here.

Unfortunately, unless you can post a Vine where the audio is louder, I think you'll have to go the Facebook route...I turned the speakers on on your last Tweet, but the volume was still hella faint.

I think I recognize it as a song bij Moya Brennan, I've seen it in recent years preformed by her. But I cannot remember which song or if it was solo (or with Cormac de Barra) or together with her old band Clannad.

Response by poster: Hmm yes, this Clannad song sounds a bit like the one I heard style-wise. Mine is funkier tho. I'll start googling her. I asked on the FUV site, we'll see if they respond.

Best answer: I think it's Capercaillie's "Himbo Hokio" - will check back in when I can track down my copy of the track...

Best answer: Ok, it's the first track here (youtube link), and I've butchered the spelling of the track name in my comment, above. It's something closer to Him Bò Hug I Ò Tha Mi Ann Am Èiginn.
