Bookkeeper for small NYC non-profit?

A friend is looking for a bookkeeper for her very small non-profit: there's one full-timer (her) and four regular contract workers. She wants someone to come in once or twice a month and keep accounts up to date. Office is in Brooklyn. Any recommendations?

Best answer: No specific recommendations, but this kind of job is perfect for posting on Idealist.org.

Who does their 990 return? Even if you don't ask them to actually do it, you might see if they have any recommendations for someone who just does bookkeeping and might be a little cheaper.
