What font did Alfred Hitchcock use for the intertitles in his 1928 silent comedy Champagne? Sample here. Identifont and WhatTheFont have both failed me. I'm looking for a free replica or close match.

Best answer: That's a slight variation of a pretty standard intertitle font. David Berlow's Meyer Two is meant to be a replica of similar fonts cut for Louis B. Mayer in the same era. I think that Meyer Two is closer to those intertitles than Silentina.
