Name my band.

Help me name my band/musical project thing.

So, I've been working on learning new music software and writing simple pop-ish tunes, often on the slightly silly and sad side. I'm generating quite a bit of material, and I'd like to sort of bundle some it together as like the project of a band (though it's basically just me), maybe with the future possibility of making an EP or something, but for now just putting it up on Bandcamp so my friends can listen to it.

But I need a clever name.

The type of music is electronic/pop/dancey sorts of stuff (for an example you can go listen to my most recent post over at MeFiMusic).

Caveats:
-Not too long
-Ideally, no pop culture references (so something like "natalie portman's shaved head" is out), but if it were really clever I might consider it
-Doesn't have to be silly, but also not too serious sounding (I realize that's vague)
-My inclination is that I don't want it to be a pun off of some other trope, but I would consider it if it were really good

Ideas? I know you all have secret lists of band name ideas stored away somewhere.

My favorite unused band name is actually The Crumbums but I was envisioning that as more of a neo-garage Greg Cartwright type of thing.

Sporklift.

For years now, I've been telling my wife that Sporklift would be the perfect band name and she's always laughed at me.

This is your chance to make dreams come true.

Rod Torfulson's Armada featuring Herman Menderchuk

Oddly enough, that's taken.

Just today someone suggested a Skyrim-themed band name to me: Vicious Horses.

DAMMIT!!!
Finally, here is an outlet for all those crazy band names I've randomly thought up over the years and I'm drawing a complete fucking blank.

The only one I can remember is from a time in high school that a few of us were sitting around with a list of random words and were making up band names by combining 2-3 of them. And that completely ridiculous name is:

Kamikaze Toilet Raiders

I'll see what I can come up with in the next few hours....this may require beer and/or something harder.

Hey wait, there you go:

Something Harder

If you don't take Sporklift, Lutoslawsky, I am officially calling dibs right now.

If there's a band you really admire, you could always take your name from a section of their lyrics.

For example, if you're an LCD Soundsystem fan you could choose:

Sara's Girlfriend
Present Company (or "Present Company Excepted")
Walk Like Pedestrians
The Unremembered 80's
Love Is A Murderer

Anyhow, yeah, its a good way of making a subtle connection with a band that influenced you.

Response by poster: Ok everyone, after much consideration and some consultation, I think I'm gonna take Fister Roboto up on Sporklift, that is if he truly doesn't mind. I will compose and ode to him in honor of his clever idea.

Actually, I REALLY like what I came up with. But I did come up with it, so I'm biased. And yes, its just a play on your username. It does seem to be Google-free.
