Treatment in NYC for sagging skin and puffy eyes

Where in NYC can I get cosmetic help with sagging skin and bags under the eyes?

I'm a 37 year old in Manhattan. Due to genetics, sinuses, aging and (my own diagnosis) possibly having LASIK 10 years ago, the area around both eyes looks discolored and gives a "tired" appearance even when I've got a full night's rest. I would like to address all of the above and not have to have anyone else tell me I look tired, stoned or otherwise unwell. I do a lot of client presentations for my company and have begun to feel a bit self-conscious. I would love the area below and beside my eyes to just look tighter and brighter.

Any recommendations on having this looked at? Particular procedures, products or doctors?

I think the term you're looking for is "scleral whitening".

I like, and use, Tribeca Skin Center because I feel that they're a judicious mix of good medicine and tending to my vanity. However, I have never ever EVER been sold or upsold and any information regarding any cosmetic procedures came SOLELY at my specific initiation/request. They also do not push their products or their aesthetician. I cannot say the same thing about many of the other dermatologists I have been to that have any kind of cosmetic orientation.

But before you do that, have you gone to a good department store - I mean Bendel's or Bloomingdales, or even, say, Sephora down in Soho and asked for product recommendations? Or even visit an upscale spa for an eye treatment? My aesthetician always says that the two products you want for discoloration and puffiness in the eye area are vitamin c and caffeine, so any product I choose should have those ingredients. However, IANAD or beauty specialist beyond my own vanity.

I love Mario Badescu products, and they have regimens aimed at various skin issues. Since you're actually in NYC, you could go to their Day Spa on 52nd St. and get a consultation and treatment. The products are priced so reasonably and work so well; I'd gladly pay double for them. (But I'm glad I don't have to!) Services such as facials are quite reasonable for the area, too. If I were in NYC, I'd hotfoot it there. I wish you luck finding what you need.

I was going to suggest Mario Badescu as well. I live almost next door to it, and my wife loves that place. And judging by their clientele and popularity, she isn't the only one. Good luck!
