Non-chain restaurants for happy hour in Broomfield, CO??
I just moved to Broomfield from Boulder (I know, sad...) and the dearth of non-chain places to eat out is shocking. I'm hoping there are some tiny, off-the-beaten-path type places that I have not noticed yet. I kind of doubt it, but thought this might be my best shot at finding out. I'm looking for anything from McCaslin to I-25, generally along 36, but also North of there. Thanks!

I've heard really good things about Yak and Yeti -- both about the food and the beer.

Response by poster: ohhh...yes I just went to Yak and Yeti on Friday night for the first time and my boyfriend and I were both very impressed!
For happy hour purposes, though, I'm not so sure that Y&Y is the way to go.

Head north on 287 for about 10 minutes and you'll be in Lafayette. Go to the corner of 287 and Baseline where you'll be at Proto's Pizza. It's a small local chain and has absolutely excellent food.
BTW, you'll be able to see my house.
