Name this song?

Name-this-song-filter: Soft, acoustic, Augustana-esque song with vague descriptions of lyrics.

From what I remember, the lyrics describe the singer beseeching his friend to, essentially, go outside and live. I got a vague sense of "I know it's them vs. us, but I won't let you waste away in here".

I thought this song was by Augustana, but I've browsed through their discography and it's not any of them, as far as I could tell. The title may have been something like Outside, Out There, though I could very well be wrong. The chorus definitely references "outside" as an abstract, not just a location.

Definitely a male singer, and it's a fairly soft, acoustic song. No power chords or any of that. I know it's not a lot to go on, but I have faith in the hive mind.

Thanks!

It is possible that this is an apparently unreleased (or 'unofficial') track entitled 'Angels,' which includes these lyrics:

I know there's something out there
I know there's something I fear
Run away from here
I know there's something more to this
In this dark room, nothing that shines
Run away from here

I have a feeling that it isn't, though. I'll keep looking.

Found it!

It was called "Outside", but it was by Aqualung. And it looks like I misremembered the gist of the lyrics by a fair bit... mea culpa!

Thanks for looking for it though!
