Aside from Andrew Gilligan's revelation that the UK government knew that the evidence justifying the Iraq War was exaggerated - what other major news stories have been broken on the BBC Radio 4's, Today Programme?

On 8 December 1988, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher called into the programme when she learned that Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev had cancelled his visit to Britain following an earthquake in Armenia.
And how about the scandal of Tony Blair being voted "Man of the Year" in 1996? Or the Countryside Alliance fixing a similar poll? Chris Woodhead's comments on teacher shortages in 2002? Brian Mawhinney accusing the programme of bias in 1995?
