St. Lucia Honeymoon - Weather Worries

Should we go to St. Lucia for our honeymoon next week, or hold out for better weather?
My fiance and I have reservations in St. Lucia for our honeymoon next week. Now, weather.com is saying it's going to rain every day while we're there (Nov. 2nd - 9th). Is this normal for St. Lucia? I've got trip insurance, so if I want I can get a full refund and we can go another time, and do a quick vegas getaway for now.
Obviously, I'd like to keep my reservations in St. Lucia, and we don't mind a little rain, but we'd really like to be outside a lot, and constant rain would really be a drag.

Best answer: Yah, I've gone to St. Martin a few times in the fall, and it's beautiful. Not infrequently, it rains in the afternoon, but then clears up. It looks like on average every other day all throughout the year you'll have some rain in St. Lucia. I'd go.

That seems like a pretty unfun task to claim your trip insurance due to rain.

I went to St. Lucia in late November, and it did rain every day for ten days - for about a half an hour each afternoon. The rest of the time it was sunny and clear. Give your hotel a call and get a local perspective on what the forecast actually means for next week.

Best answer: nthing the "it usually just rains for a hour at some point in the afternoon" it's actually kinda refreshing, and cools off the hot afternoon.
When I went to St. Lucia 4 years ago for our honeymoon, we did have 2 days of heavier rain when we first arrived. the first day we had a tour of the in-land rain forest. and well, you're in a rain forest, it's kinda supposed to be raining there.
The second day, we found it a good reason to entertain ourselves in the hotel room. The rest of the week, there were just scattered showers and otherwise the beach and pool were great.

Response by poster: My fears were completely unfounded, the trip was great. It rained every day, but it was not like the upper midwest where a chance of rain generally means a cloudy day. We would have sun all day with a little occasional rain. Thanks everyone.
