Any experiences with A-1 Pioneer or Mergenthaler in Salt Lake City?

Moving my aging mother next month, from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles. Got some moving quotes. The two best were from A-1 Pioneer (a Wheaton agent) and Mergenthaler (a United Van Lines agent). Does anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with either of these? [more inside]

Where to stay in Salt Lake City for the weekend?

Going out to Salt Lake City for a conference next week and staying through the weekend to see the area. Current plan is just to stay an extra few nights in my current downtown hotel and explore from there but am now thinking about doing an Airbnb somewhere for those days instead. [more inside]

Want to camp in Bryce/Zion area this summer. Need logistical help??

We (me, mrs. sexy, three kids ages 15, 19, 22) are flying into Vegas this July and want to explore nature to the east of there -- Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion as we've heard those places are amazing. We would like to camp there for a couple of nights, and we've done the car camping thing a lot as a family, but how do you do that when you've flown in and all you have are suitcases of clothes? Gift for Utah lover

I'd like to give a gift to someone who adores Utah and will be making his second trip there next year. Any suggestions for the best travel books or some kind of unusual service/gift certificate I could give him? He likes wide open spaces and adventurous travel off the grid.

Fun times in slc tonight?

Due to a series of unfortunate events, I'll be in the Salt Lake City airport from 4pm-1am today. Is it worth going into SLC from the airport? Anything exciting going on tonight? Anything worth checking out in the airport?

Advice on Bryce Canyon/Escalante area with a toddler

My wife I will be visiting Bryce Canyon in early June with our 2-year-old son. We want to do the Navajo/Queens Garden loop. Would this hike be safe/doable considering one of us will be (mostly) carrying our son in a pack? We are in decent physical shape, but online I'm seeing some hikers say it is an easy hike and others saying it is strenuous and very steep. We're also looking for suggestions for other good bang-for-your-buck hikes in Bryce, Zion, Grand Staircase/Escalante area that would be good for us with the little one. Thanks in advance!

What to do in Salt Lake City on a Sunday?

We are in Salt Lake City just for today. What are fun things that are open? What about Park City--worth a visit or is Sundance a shitshow? We have a car.

Advice on hiking trails near Escalante, Utah?

My wife and I want to go backpacking near Escalante, Utah next month. Although we're both reasonably fit and experienced desert backpackers, we're not as young as we once were. Can anyone recommend a good trip of no more than 4 days that will be easy to modestly difficult with shade and water for most of the trip?
