How to fix broken mp3 screen?

I purchased a refurb sansa 8g mp3 from woot.com and the inner screen is now broken disrupting the display. I cannot seem to find much help in fixing this problem myself. Any suggestions?

Sandisk might be willing to refurb.

On more expensive items (PDAs & laptops), users with serious soldering skillz can sometimes replace the CCD screens themselves, but I doubt it's worthwhile on an item this cheap (since you'd likely have to pay postage on the part).

Gotta 4GB myself from Woot. Like it a lot.

Replacing it will most probably cost you more than a refurb similar MP3 player.
But don't take my word for it, just search around and see.
