What's your favourite house-music bar/club in NYC?

Manhattan lounges / house music?? Anyone have a favorite lounge / club / bar that plays good house / ecclectic music in NYC. Some friends and I are looking for some non-bling-bling places to hang out, with some cool people, nice ambience, and great music. Meet us there from July 16-19 and we will buy you and your friends a lot of strong drinks!
You have to be a bit more specific about the kind of house music you like. In NYC there's everything from gay house to Latin house, etc. etc.
Here's a decent list from ny.com of various genres.

Centro Fly is very famous for house music. Stephane Pompougnac used to have a residency at Lotus (maybe he still does?) but that place is hard to get in to. Worth it though if Stephane is spinning. Cielo on Little West 12th sometimes has Francois K and other top DJs, even though the place is small.
Here's another list of clubs I found:

What else... Crobar and Avalon opened after I left so I havent been there. Baktun sometimes has good shows...

Granted, it's a clothing store, but Antique Boutique has some interesting live sessions. Mike Bryant of Rythmic/Intrinsic Design fame made his mark there.
If you like bhangra, try S.O.B.s during the first thursday or so of each month.

Rififi in the East Village has had a different DJ spinning every night I've been there (granted that's 2 or 3 times over the last 2 or 3 months, but still), from Psychobilly to 60's Western Movie soundtracks to moody German techno. It's a little former movie theater-cum-lounge with seats, chairs and dance floor. Two rooms, and it's pretty welcoming for being low-grade hip.
