What are some great U.S. small-town/rural newspaper web sites?

Looking for some sites that are worth following. Ones with interesting columnists, letters to the editors, etc.

Well, I sort of like mine, the Randolph Herald and the Valley News. Other local papers near here with somewhat less useful online presences are the Sho-Case and the Vermont World. If you haven't checked it out already you might want to look at Home Town News which gives you state by state links to newspapers online.

The Arcata Eye is known for the deadpan humor in its Police Log.

The Athens Banner Herald consistantly wins regional and national awards for its web edition. They just began requireing registration, though.

You could try the Point Reyes Light.

Don't miss Ohio's "Farm and Dairy." Their caps, t-shirts and coffee mugs make great gifts, too. (And let me second Jessamyn's endorsement of the Home Town News, site, above.)

I always found it amusing that the Holland Sentinel has a much better web presence than the Grand Rapids Press. Their archives go back pretty far, too, which is nice.
