How can I automatically protect a Firefox tab?

How can I set Firefox up so that it will load a tab from a bookmark, and then automatically protect/lock it?
For example, I have www.foo.com as a bookmark. When I open the foo.com bookmark, I want Firefox to protect & lock the tab automatically, until I manually remove the protection.
Is this possible? And if so, how?

Response by poster: Permatabs is sort of what I want, but I want to be able to open a bookmark and have it protected. I don't necessarily want that tab open every Firefox session.
Useful find, though. :)

For the protect and lock tab extensions, I believe there are keyboard shortcuts you can use to quickly to what you want, but I don't know of any automated extension; I do use permatabs also and love it, but not what you want as you said.

Morning Coffee is a nice plugin, (not yet 3,0) it probably doesn't lock/protect but sadly (for me) I'm not even sure what that means.

What does protecting and locking a tab involve, and how is it done manually?

Locking a tab means disabling the Close options for it, so you can't accidentally close it in the midst of ten others. To do it manually, right-click on a tab and there should be an option saying 'lock this tab'. I assume this is a firefox feature, rather than one of my extensions.

ah, in that case I'd guess it's Tab Mix Plus 0.3.6. If it's not that, all the extensions I have are listed here.
