Where to get an Asus EEE in Chicago?

I want to buy the white one for the SO for xmas, but newegg seems to be out of stock. Need to find one to pick up in Chicago, or alternatively, another reputable online vendor that can get me one by xmas eve guaranteed. Help!

Response by poster: On second gander at newegg, they have the cheaper model ($350) but not the $400 one. Anyone know what the difference is? Is it only the battery life?

According to this the battery is smaller, you can't upgrade the ram, and there isn't a webcam.

I ended up getting mine from here: directron.com. (I'm not affiliated) Shipped fast and they have good presence in the eee user forum. That forum also has a "Prices, Preorders, and Where To Buy" subforum.

Micro Center has it, though it's not clear to me whether they've got it in stock at the store on Elston.

I got mine from mwave.com and I got it in 2 days. It appears they have the better model in stock, but only in black?

I ordered one from Best Buy online and it shipped and arrived on schedule. Neat box.

Oddly, the webcam doesnt do much. It doesnt work with Skype for example, unless you hack it a bit.

Skype 2.0 beta with video support came out just after the Eees started shipping, but apparently they're keeping close communication. The install to Skype 2.0b is very straightforward, and the Eee is probably the best default (out of box, no special mic) voip experience I've used..
