Help my kid interview a WGA striker in New York Today.

Does anyone know where my kid could interview one of the striking TV writers, today, in New York?
She's just got a few questions and we assumed we could driver her to Silver Cup Studios in Queens, but there is not a giant inflatable rat to be seen anywhere near there. Anyone know where we are more or less sure to run across a striking WGA member today?
Thanks.

I was just at the Time Warner Center and was surprised at the lack of a giant inflatable rat there as well. It was just there the other day, I swear.
So you can add that to your list of places they aren't.

Response by poster: Bluurgh, not enough time today anyway, wife and kid are returning home. Union forever friends.
Any WGA strikers reading askme and want to take six quick questions via email from a nice 12 year old for the school paper?

Response by poster: That's the problem OlderThanTOS, finding the picket lines. The WGA site says there are major events tomorrow and Wednesday at various sites, but list nothing today. Thanks though.

Nevermind--you already knew that. Contact the local Writer's Guild of America chapter and find out where they are picketing today.

There were some 30 Rock and SNL writers in front of Rockefeller Center last week.

There are no WGA pickets today.
The stagehands are walking the line though - would one of them do?

Response by poster: Sadly no CunningLinguist, she is required to speak with the true ink-stained wretch, but we'll soldier on. Thank you all for your answers.

Ken Levine is one of the striking writers; he's worked on MASH, Cheers and Frasier, to name a few shows. Perhaps if your kid contacted him via his blog, he/she could arrange an email interview.

Also, numerous screenwriters have blogs--maybe you could contact them thru there. John August, Terry Rossio, and Josh Friedman all have sites.

Does the inflatable rat HAVE to be in the backrgound? Strikers made their point for years without it.
