I really want to hear more music just like this... but I don't know where to look.

I heard this song playing during the trailer for Reason 4, I put a link at the bottom and I want to hear more songs exactly like it - but I don't know where to look, nor what to look for.

I don't really know anything about electronic music, but really really love the dirty grimey distorted sound of analog synths which is why that particular song stood out.

It's known as acid or acid house, because of the harshness of the old synthesizer used to generate the "eeeow" and "rowr" type of sounds.
As for artists I would recommend:
Cool software by the way!

As for artists I would recommend:
- Josh Wink is worth a listen
- Luke Vibert AKA Wagon Christ likes his analog synths and distortion.
- Aphex Twin and his many pseudonyms practically created the genre.
- Squarepusher has lost of super-distorted analog effects.
Cool software by the way!

Response by poster: I've listened to loads of Squarepusher - I have Go Plastic, I've also listened to loads of Aphex Twin. I'm also pretty familiar with the name Acid House, but not really into the cheesier side of it...
Acccciiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeed... not really for me.
I'll have a listen to Crystal Method as well as Josh Wink and Luke Vilbert. A lot of this I'm doing via Last.fm.

I'd say you might also like:
- Infected Mushroom
- Juno Reactor
- The Prodigy
Definitely try Pandora, if you haven't already.

I would not recommend any Nine Inch Nails albums to you, but I would recommend some of their EPs such as:
Further Down The Spiral - and the Japanese version of this too!
Things Falling Apart
Fixed - this might be too much, it's pretty crazy

It's also reminiscent of lots of the old Trax scene stuff... check http://www.modarchive.com/ ... I'd classify it more as Breakbeat than acid house. Try Adam Freeland or DJ Micro.

how about going to lastfm.com and entering propellerheads and see whar similar bands pop up.
or you could go to liveplasma.com and do the same.
and you could try out Amon Tobin.
