Surplus and clothing shops in San Diego, California?

I'll be in San Diego, CA next week. I'd like your recommendations for military/industrial/aerospace surplus shops. I would also appreciate any clues on clothing retailers (is there an H&M or equivalent?).

Bonus points if it's located near downtown, so I can walk.

Best answer: Downtown San Diego isn't a good place to find bargains or any kind of surplus/warehouse shopping these days, but there's an old surplus store in North Park, near the intersection of 30th and University. It's not walking distance, but it is near bus (but not trolley) lines and has lots of cheap stuff:

Best answer: Industrial Liquidators. Just what it sounds like. Not downtown, sorry.

Response by poster: Thank you all for the recommendations. I understand the downtown issue now, and I'm open to suggestions anywhere in the area.

Best answer: K-Surplus, is just a few minutes south of downtown in National City. It's right near where they re-fit all the navy ships, so there are a few other places right near by.
