Madrid on a Friday night

It's Friday evening in Madrid, I got some money cause I just got paid. Oh how I wish I had somewhere to go to...

It's my only Friday in this fine city, but either my friends aren't in town yet or my family members are pooping out early.

So -- who knows of a good time to be had for a young straight stag dude who likes good music, electronic in particular, but really anything at which one could shake a butt?

I had a blast in the plaza mayor area- lot's of little cafes and a couple tapas bars near by. If you're near there, try the 7 story disco, I can't place the name right now, but it was one of those different music/scene every floor different type places. We had a blast (but there were also 12 of us) dancing to the different music at the club, getting some sangria in the plaza mayor, then some churros and cafe and watching the sun come up...

Also the plaza del sol is a decent area if i remember.

Best answer: oh damn. i'm insanely jealous.

if i were you i would go into some independent music stores and ask around/look for flyers for underground parties. the mainstream clubs tend to be touristy, packed, expensive, and lacking in vibe.

the seven story disco is called 'capital' I believe. on a friday expect a cover of 15 euro at least. I went on a wednesday and it was 12 euro and not particularly full, but still pretty fun.
