Miranda Song?

Songfilter: Lyrics something like "come on Miranda read me my rights." A sort of love song/pun, sung to a woman named Miranda and referring throughout to 'Miranda Rights.' Song Name? Band? Thanks.

Heard in Eugene, OR about 12 years ago. Not sure if it was a local band that s/o had a tape of or if it was a more popular band. Have googled to no avail. Seemed like sort of an 'alternative rock/folk' genre thing.

Argh! I can sing those lyrics in my mind but I have no idea who did that song. I lived in PDX 12 years ago so perhaps it was a local Portland artist.
