But I want to read the full story NOW!

Do you know of any good news sites that provide full articles, or at the very least decent sized excerpts, in their RSS feed?

I'm currently subscribed to the BBC feed which gives one measly sentence and CNN, which more often than not gives a headline and the ever so infomative "Read full story for latest details." I've seen previous questions recommending news feeds in general, but I can't find any listings that differentiate between those that tease you with just a headline and those that deliver a good-size chunk of tasty news goodness.

As far as aggregators go, I'm currently vacillating between sticking with Bloglines and or switching to Google Reader if that's useful to know.

God, I can't stand shrimpy feeds like that. I unsubscribe from those pretty quick.

A lot of the time, a site will offer both "Summary" and "Full Content" feeds-but this is most common with Movable Type blogs, and is by no means something you can count on from non-MT sites.

I'm unable to name a news site (as in not a blog) off the top of my head that offers full content in their feeds. Most news sites make money through advertising and the number of pairs of eyeballs that view banners.

The RSS feeds I specified for the site I work for put the first paragraph of each story in. But that's about as much as you're going to get.

I suppose paid-for full-content RSS feed are possible, but not too likely because by its very nature RSS is a way of freely distributing content and links.

As for putting the ads themselves in RSS feeds I don't think they're a stage to be a feasible revenue model yet. I mean, large blogs like Boing Boing use them but not the MSM.

Please prove me wrong, I'd be interested in anybody who has evidence otherwise.

Our local library has a (deeply hidden) online link to many newspapers, including the NY Times.
