Is it possible to use an MP3 as a ringtone on my Motorola a920?

I just got a Samsung a920 cell phone. I have an mp3 I'd like to use as a ringtone. I can get the mp3 on to the phone, but I am not sure if/how to use it as a ringtone. Is there a way, or am I stuck using the lame ones that my provider has provided me with?

BitPim, and a data cable will handle it all for you.

As will Mobile 17 - without the cable - once they get back up.

To make ringtones for my a900 (this method will also work for your a920), I use dBpowerAMP to convert the mp3's to m4a format, then use a site like rumkin.com's Phone Uploader to send it to my phone. The site sends you a txt message with a link to download the m4a file so that it ends up in the Ringtones folder along with any of the ones you purchase from Sprint.
