Pet friendly weed killer

Any advice for a spray type weed killer, cat friendly, would be appreciated.

The cat is strictly indoors, but still. I loath pulling weeds. I would even consider those homemade concoctions I see on the web. Thanks

I had pretty good success with just boiling water, but it's arduous.

I use boiling water, too.

Everyone in my neighborhood seems to use the vinegar method, which has a little soap and salt in it. I got this one from Martha Stewart.

Materials Needed
1 gallon vinegar
1 tablespoon of dish soap
1 cup salt (optional)

Steps
Fill a container with 1 gallon of white vinegar.
Add one tablespoon of dish soap to the vinegar.
Optional: Pour in 1 cup of salt.
Mix the solution thoroughly until ingredients are well combined.
Pour your desired amount into a garden sprayer.

I only use it in areas where there are no other plants, like the cracks in my driveway. I've also used the boiling water method for stubborn larger plants in areas with other plants I want to preserve.

'Horticultural Vinegar' is available in various strengths (20-45% acetic acid) that are much stronger than normal white vinegar (4-6%) Mix with a bit of dish soap and spray it on. Wear gloves!
