Camping our way to Maine (with a small dog)!

We are going camping this summer though upper New York state, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. 2 adults, 1 senior citizen, 1 small, well-behaved dog. We are looking for dog-friendly campgrounds that might also have a cabin option. Any suggestions?

Our final destination will be the Maine coast, and we're hoping that state or national parks might work for us. But, if any MeFites have knowledge of nice, clean private campgrounds, we'd sure love to hear about them.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure specifically, but reserveamerica.com has a search engine that may help.

It I've cabin camped in several KOAs in New York State, all of which allowed dogs. Check their website for locations.
