Hotels in Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg in Berlin?

Just what the question says, I guess: I'm looking for recommendations for hotels in those neighborhoods.
I've been to Berlin and stayed at the Michelberger on Warschauer Straße and liked it, but this time I would rather stay somewhere a bit less...hipster, I guess? (No shade toward the hotel or hipsters -- I'm just a bit old for that scene now.) I looked at the Hotel Indigo, which looks nice and is quite near the Michelberger, but it's a bit out of my price range, which is $200-250 a night, roughly, so I guess mid-range. Would much appreciate any recommendations for places people have stayed at themsevles and enjoyed, thanks! (I'd be ok with other neighborhoods near there, so I guess Neukölln too? But I'd rather stay in the eastern part of the City.)

Hotel Catalonia, across the street from the KitKat club, is affordable, clean, and nice. I've stayed there twice.

I enjoyed staying at Hotel The Yard on Alexandrinenstraße.
